Wales prop Samson Lee has been suspended for five weeks for headbutting South African lock Flip van der Merwe during Wales' 31-30 defeat last Saturday.
Lee, 21, who was making his second start for Wales, was cited after the match. Van der Merwe had to receive treatment for a cut following the incident.
IRB disciplinary officer Christopher Quinlan imposed an initial 10-week ban but the suspension was cut by 50% because of Lee's admission of reckless conduct, his youth and his remorse at the hearing. He will miss the first three weeks of Scarlets' Pro12 season as well as friendlies against Bath and Gloucester.
