Ospreys sign call-centre worker
June 16, 2013
The Ospreys have signed Jamie Murphy, who works in a call centre, as a fullback for the coming season.
Murphy, 23, played for Bridgend as a teenager before a spell in rugby league with South Wales Scorpions.
"I only gave up work a few weeks ago [and] this beats working 9-5," he said. "I realise how privileged I am. I just want to dig in and get a good pre-season under my belt. I was fortunate enough to be on the radar last season and play in the LV= Cup but I never imagined that I'd get a deal after just two games."
