Wales' Bennett faces lengthy layoff
August 28, 2012
Wales hooker Huw Bennett has been ruled out for between four and six months, according to reports.
The former Ospreys hooker swapped Wales for France at the end of last season and signed for PRO D2 side Lyon. But just one game into the new season and Bennett is set for a lengthy spell out.
The hooker was struggling with an Achilles injury and his club have announced that he will have to undergo surgery on the same tendon. Bennett tweeted: "Operation on the heel Thursday. Just want to get this issue sorted so I can get back on the field!! Been too long!!"
