Ospreys winger Phillips was a surprise call-up to Wales squad for the 2010 Six Nations Championship - having only seven senior appearance to his name.
A member of the Ospreys Regional Academy, he has represented Wales at U16, U18 and U20 level and had been included in the latter's squad for the Six Nations before his senior call-up.
