Danie Rossouw is a Bulls and South African forward who can play either in the second or back-row.
He made a try-scoring debut for the Springboks at the 2003 World Cup in a resounding 72-6 pool stage victory over Georgia in Perth. He started the World Cup matches four years later when Pierre Spies was ruled out of the tournament with blood clots on his lungs. Rossouw's tournament looked as though it was over when he was stretchered off with a neck injury in a physical encounter against Tonga in the pool stages.
He recovered to play in the knockout matches and played at No.8 as the Springboks beat England in the final to win the World Cup for a second time.
In 2009 he scored a try off the bench in the Super 14 final as the Bulls clinched the title for the second time. Also in 2009 he came on as a replacement against the British & Irish Lions in the first two Tests as the Springboks won narrowly to win the series.
