South Africa have been handed a double boost ahead of their Rugby World Cup squad announcement with the news that both Patrick Lambie and Frans Steyn are fit for selection.

Steyn missed Saturday's Tri-Nations victory over New Zealand with a slight hamstring strain while Lambie suffered an injury to his shoulder in the opening moments of the game and had to be replaced..

Lambie underwent a series of tests on Monday and team doctor, Dr Craig Roberts, has since revealed that the 2-=year-old suffered a sprain of the AC joint in his left shoulder and would require rehabilitation and management, but it was not serious enough to rule him out of contention. Steyn is receiving on-going rehabilitation to his hamstring injury and according to a statement from SA Rugby is, "well on the road to recovery."

Springboks coach Peter de Villiers will announce his squad for the World Cup in Johannesburg on Tuesday night.
