New Zealand will renew their rivalry with old foes South Africa at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on Saturday night.
These two sides have met on 83 previous occasions dating back to the All Blacks' 13-5 victory in their first Test clash in Dunedin in 1921. New Zealand hold the all-time advantage with 46 victories but the Springboks won their most recent encounter with an 18-5 triumph on the eve of last year's Rugby World Cup that brought an end to four successive defeats.
However, perhaps their most famous clash came in the final of the 1995 Rugby World Cup where hosts South Africa claimed a 15-12 success at Ellis Park and with it the sport's biggest prize for the first time.
This weekend's game will be South Africa's first visit to the Forsyth Barr Stadium with all their previous visits to the city centring on Carisbrook where they won on their most recent visit but lost on the seven occasions that preceded that memorable victory.
