Hurricanes call up Jason Rutledge

The Hurricanes have drafted former Highlanders hooker Jason Rutledge into their squad as a replacement player.
The Hurricanes have regular hookers Dane Coles and Motu Matu'u under an injury cloud after the one-point win over the Crusaders in Wellington on Friday.
Coles sustained an ankle injury in the 42nd minute of the game, but an X-ray on his left ankle showed he was clear of a break. Matu'u injured a shoulder with two minutes left in the game, and he was forced to leave the field.
Both are working with the Hurricanes medical team to determine the seriousness of the injuries and their availability to train and play this week.
Rutledge, now playing with Southland, is not contracted to any Super Rugby franchise or their wider training groups.
