Rolland will be joined by assistant referees Jonathan Kaplan (South Africa) and Wayne Barnes (England). Meanwhile South Africa's Craig Joubert will referee the second semi-final between Australia and New Zealand at the same venue the following day.
Wales' Nigel Owens and France's Romain Poite will be the assistant referees for the second semi-final.
The appointments were made by the International Rugby Board's match official selection committee following a review of the quarter-final.
