Profile

Mac Herewini toured Britain, Ireland & France with Wilson Whineray's side in 1963-64, making his name as a livewire five-eighth at a time when the All Blacks traditionally played ten-man rugby centred around a dominant scrum, a pack-serving half-back and a goal-kicking full-back.

He returned to Britain with Brian Lochore's 1967 All Blacks but had to play second fiddle to Earle Kirton for the first five position on that tour.
