Manoa Vosawai is a dynamic Fijian-born back-row who has been capped eight times by Italy. The then Parma player made his Azzurri debut in the 2007 World Cup warm-up clash against Japan and he did enough in that encounter and the subsequent clash with Ireland to secure himself a seat on the plane to France. He made three appearances during the tournament, including a start at No.8 against Portugal.

However, his next outing for the Azzurri did not come until the 2010 Six Nations clash with Wales. Vosawai was handed a start in the summer Test against South Africa, though, before again featuring against Wales as a replacement in the following year's Championship on the back of a number of eye-catching appearances for new side Treviso. In May of 2011 he was called up for Italy's two-day Rugby World Cup training camp in Cesena.
