The centre has enhanced his reputation by playing in the English Premiership. He was recommended to London Irish by Les Cusworth after gaining senior recognition in Argentina.
Tiesi stayed three seasons at Irish before moving to Harlequins for the start of the 2008-09 English campaign. He has gained 18 caps for Argentina though failed to gain a regular place in the 2007 Rugby World Cup finals where he played in only three of the games.
He has a healthy try-scoring record of seven touchdowns in his 18 caps. Twice he has contributed two tries, against Wales (June 2006) and Scotland (June 2008).
Tiesi established himself as a crowd favourite at the Stoop with Harlequins before making the switch to Top 14 giants Stade Francais in the summer of 2010. Tiesi will go to the World Cup with Argentina having been named in their 30-man squad for the tournament.
