Dan Scarbrough began his career in National Division One with Wakefield before his prolific try-scoring exploits led to a contract with Leeds.
His form with Leeds led to a call up to the England A squad in 2002 and he enjoyed a successful period with the A team in 2003, playing all four of their games. He was part of the England A side that contested the first Churchill Cup before winning his first full cap against Wales in a World Cup warm up game in 2003.
Scarbrough played in his second Churchill Cup the following year before his club career took him to Saracens. His first season with the club was blighted by injury, but he bounced back to top their scoring charts in his second season.
Scarbrough was called out to South Africa as injury cover during England's 2007 summer tour, and won his second cap and scored a try in a heavy defeat against the Springboks at Loftus Versfeld.
In December 2008 Scarbrough parted ways with Saracens after failing to break into the first team during the early stages of the 2008-09 season.
