Profile

Grayson played 32 times for England and scored 400 points for the national team in an international career that spanned nine years - second on the English all-time list behind Jonny Wilkinson.

He made his debut against Western Samoa in 1995 and was a member of the 2003 World Cup winning squad.

Domestically Grayson spent his career at the Northampton Saints the pinnacle of which was in 2000 when he kicked the Saints to European glory in a tightly fought 9-8 win over Munster.

Late in 2004 Grayson moved into coaching while still a player during the tumultuous reign of Alan Solomons at Franklins Gardens, along with fellow former player Budge Pountney. Together they masterminded a last day-of-the-season escape from relegation.

Grayson retired from the game in 2004 and remains at the Saints where he is an assistant to Jim Mallinder.
