March 21, 2000
Delegates at next week's SANZAR meeting will decide whether Australia wins a fourth Super 12 team and South Africa a fifth.
South African officials believe an expanded Super 12 should be organised in two pools. The Australians would prefer to continue with the arrangement whereby everybody plays everybody else before the semi final stage. If there is to be a fourth Australian team, it is expected that it would be based in Melbourne.
