Springboks Juan De Jongh and Gio Aplon have signed new contract extensions with the Stormers.

Winger Aplon has agreed a new contract until the end of 2014 while centre De Jongh has re-signed until 2015. Aplon, 29, has won 16 caps for South Africa while De Jongh, 23, has been capped ten times.

De Jongh told Die Burger: "It wasn't a difficult decision because I played all my senior rugby here and grew up as a WP and Stormers fan. The spirit I experienced here over the last few years was unbelievable. I've also learnt a lot.

"There are a lot of junior and senior players who have signed new contracts. With that core we can only get stronger and hopefully win trophies."
