De Villiers is currently with the Springboks for their Test against France but has signed for the remainder of the 2010 season with Western Province, while van der Linde will play this season's Currie Cup with the Cheetahs before heading to Newlands.
Senior coach Rassie Erasmus also confirmed that fly-half Peter Grant had been given permission to see out the rest of 2010 in Japan after missing out on Springbok selection. Grant will return to South Africa in January 2011 to play for the Stormers in the Super 15.
