Geoff Cross is a qualified doctor who plays at tight-head for Edinburgh and Scotland.
His began his career in professional rugby when he joined The Borders in 2003. He first represented Edinburgh against Glasgow in a inter-city match in December 2006 while on loan from Borders.
His move to Edinburgh was made permanent after making 10 appearances during the 2006/07 season. He continued to play an increasingly prominent role in the Edinburgh set up and was called up to the Scotland squad for their tour of Argentina in 2008.
Cross made his debut for the national side against Wales in the 2009 Six Nations clash at Murrayfield and made his second appaerance against England a year later. Despite being involved in the Scotland set up, including being selected for the victorious tour of Argentina in 2010, he did not add to his caps during the remainder of 2010.
But he was once again called up for their Six Nations squad in January 2011, making appearances against England, Ireland and Italy.
