Wales defence coach Shaun Edwards is believed to have been disciplined over an incident which allegedly took place after last Saturday's Six Nations victory over Ireland.
The former rugby league star did not travel to Paris with the Wales squad for Saturday's final match of the championship against France.
Refusing to confirm the precise nature of the incident, head coach Warren Gatland said: "This is an internal matter, full stop."
A Welsh Rugby Union source confirmed to PA Sport that the Wasps head coach would be back in the Wales fold for their next game, against the Barbarians in Cardiff on June 4.
