Scottish Rugby Union chief executive Gordon McKie was appointed in August 2005, bringing a wealth of experience and financial acumen to the role.

Glasgow born McKie is a graduate of Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and prior to his appointment to the SRU had a distinguished financial career with Arthur Young McClelland Moores, SDA, TSB Scotland, John Menzies, British Thornton Holdings, Murray International Holdings, Mimtec Electronics, Digital, Frazier International Group and Semple.

McKie also serves as a Scottish representative to both the IRB council and the Six Nations committee.
