Former Australia head coach Eddie Jones has accused England of arrogance following their recent victory over the All Blacks.

Jones slammed England centre Manu Tuilagi for walking across the try line, which Jones viewed as taunting the World Champions, rather than sprinting under the posts as he scored in the 38-21 win at Twickenham last weekend.

Jones, who now coaches Japan, believes Stuart Lancaster should stamp out such behaviour as it is disrespectful to the opposition and damaging to the game.

"There were already signs at the weekend of arrogance, with their centre walking over the line. That's disrespectful to the world champions," Jones told the Sunday Express.

"If they don't control that kind of thing, they won't go forward as a team. You don't want to see that sort of thing creep into the game because it's not good for rugby.

"It doesn't wind up other teams but the game is about respect. That's one thing we simply must keep in the game. You'd never see any of New Zealand's players do that.

"They run hard and try to get under the posts to make the kick as easy as possible. So why didn't the England boy do that? Why didn't he run under the posts to make the kick easier? It is very important to keep a tight lid on that kind of attitude."
