Namibia international No.8 Jacques Burger has impressed since arriving at Saracens midway through the 2009/10 season.
The Windhoek native was drafted in by Brendan Venter as a replacement for Wikus van der Heerden who returned to South Africa. Burger stepped straight into the World Cup winner's shoes as Sarries made a charge to the Premiership final.
A stand out performer for his country at the 2007 World Cup in France as Namibia gave Ireland a scare, Burger has won 24 caps for the African nation. He started his professional career at Currie Cup side the Griquas before being signed up by the Super 14 franchise the Bulls.
He made his Saracens debut against Worcester Warriors in February 2010 and starred as Venter reinvented his team's style of play only to be denied in the final by Leicester.
Burger went on to become a key player in the Sarries side which won the 2011 Aviva Premiership title. Possessing deft hands and the ability to break across the gainline, Burger proved to be an invaluable member of their back-row.
And Burger will captain Namibia in the 2011 World Cup having been named skipper of the 30-man squad.
