Ireland clinched the 2009 Six Nations Grand Slam with a dramatic 17-15 victory over Wales at the Millennium Stadium.

However, the title-decider with their Celtic rivals was just the final enthralling act in this year's Championship. The foundations for only their second clean sweep, and first in 61-years, were laid with hard-fought victories over France, Italy, England and Scotland.
