Officer signs for Reivers
May 30, 2000
Edinburgh Reivers have completed the signing of Scotland A international utility back David Officer from Harlequins.
The 27-year-old, who plays at centre or full-back, has made 15 appearances for Scotland A and is in the national tour squad which is departing for New Zealand later this week.
Officer, formerly of Currie RFC, said: "This is a great opportunity for me. The Reivers play an exciting brand of rugby and I am looking forward to being part of it. I am also hoping that by being closer to the Scottish selectors, my chances of gaining full international honours will be enhanced."
Reivers head of rugby Ian Rankin added: "David is an experienced and high-quality performer who will be a great asset to our squad."
