Fiji conduct trials to select Epson Cup squad

The Fiji Rugby Football Union is organising a East v West rugby match to enable national selectors to pick a team that will represent the country against Japan in the first match of Epson Pacific Rim Series.
National coach Greg Smith has also been travelling all around Fiji attending provincial rugby matches to scout for potential national reps.
The East/West tournament will be the first this year and will include many players that represented Fiji at last year's Rugby World Cup.
Meanwhile, the second round of the Telecom Fiji Cup rugby tournament is set to get underway this coming weekend.
This is Fiji's most elite rugby competition. Last year's champs Naitasiri face underdogs Namosi in what is expected to be bruising first round encounter.
