Bristol sign Burrows
February 29, 2000
English rugby union side Bristol on Monday signed England A centre Nick Burrows from French club Stade Francais.
The former London Irish player lost his place in the French club's line-up to Thomas Lombard, the Press Association reported Monday.
Bristol already have Argentine international Eduardo Simone and Scotland international Jamie Mayer as first-choice centres.
But with a hectic programme of nine league games plus the semi-finals of the English Rugby Union Cup and the European Shield, Bristol director of rugby Bob Dwyer was anxious to secure some quality cover.
Burrows, 26, played in two England A games last season.
