Bristol sign Burrows from French side
February 29, 2000
Bristol have announced the signing of England A centre Nick Burrows from French club Stade Francais.
The former London Irish player lost his place in the French club's starting line-up to Thomas Lombard, the French test player.
Bristol already have Argentine international Eduardo Simone and Scottish international Jamie Mayer as first-choice centres, but with a hectic programme of nine league games , plus the semi-finals of the English Rugby Union Cup and the European Shield, Bristol director of rugby Bob Dwyer was anxious to secure some quality cover.
Burrows, 26, played in two England A games last season.
