February 18, 2000
The ACT Brumbies continued their good pre-Super 12 form by defeating the Otago Highlanders 33-20 in Canberra last night.
The Brumbies scored 5 tries, through George Gregan, Stirling Mortlock, Travis Hall, Jeremy Paul and Mark Bartholemeusz but controlled the game to such an extent that they should have scored more.
Pita Alatini and Rua Tipoki scored the Highlanders' tries and fly-half Tony Brown was in good form with the boot, landing 2 penalties and 2 conversions.
