Ulster appoint Miles as manager
Belfast
February 16, 2000

Former Ulster and Ireland 'A' winger Joe Miles has been appointed as manager of the Ulster senior squad in succession to John Kinnear.
Miles, who was Ulster cup winner with Malone in 1971 is a former chairman of the Ulster selection panel and was an Irish selector for five years from 1993. Recently the former International athlete has been working with the Ulster under 20 side.
"My main objective is obviously to assist Harry Williams in returning Ulster to the top of Irish rugby,'" said Miles. "We hope to maximise Irish qualified talent including those players in other provinces. But my main role is to remove all administration problems."
