Giovanelli ruled out of Wales match

Italy's plans for next week's clash against Wales in Cardiff received a major blow today when former captain Massimo Giovanelli was ruled out because of an eye injury sustained against Scotland last Saturday. Doctors said he will have to be operated on tomorrow in Parma to prevent his condition worsening Giovanelli hopes to be back on the field in four week's time but will only know for sure after the operation. No replacements have been named so far. |
