Nicol fit for Cup match
December 16, 1999
Glasgow Caledonians captain Andy Nicol has won his injury battle and will lead his team into their televised Heineken Cup clash with Leicester at Welford Road on Saturday.
Nicol limped out of the shock 30-17 victory over the same opposition in Perth on Sunday and was a major doubt for the rematch.
But he has proved his fitness and is part of an unchanged line-up for the Reds who are seeking the win which would almost certainly earn them a place in the knockout stages of the competition.
Team: G Metcalfe; J Craig, A Bulloch, J Stuart, S Longstaff; T Hayes, A Nicol (captain); D Hilton, G Bulloch, G McIlwham, S Campbell, J White, G Simpson, D MacFadyen, R Reid. Replacements: B Irving, I McInroy, F Stott, J Petrie, S Griffiths, A Watt, G Scott.
