Ulster name experienced side
Belfast
November 17, 1999

Ulster have named a side containing 10 internationals for their opening match in the defence of the European Cup at Bourgoin on Saturday evening.
The side includes Fijian prop Joeli Veitayaki who is making his debut for the province. The 20 stone Veitayaki made a significant contribution to the Fijian performance during the World Cup and coach Harry Williams believes his inclusion will give an extra dimension to the sides tight play.
The side is captained by David Humphreys and also includes the present Irish captain, Dion O'Cuinneagain and his immediate predecessor Paddy Johns.
Ulster team: S Mason; J Topping, J Cunningham, N Malone, S Bromley; D Humphreys S Bell; J Fitzpatrick, A Clarke, J Veitayaki; P Johns, G Longwell; E Miller, D O'Cuinneagain, T McWhirter.
Replacements: S Coulter, T Howe, M Edwards, D Topping, M Blair, S Best, R Weir.
