Jenkins takes Cardiff to hard-earned win
Cardiff
November 14, 1999

Neil Jenkins chalked up 19 points to help his new club Cardiff to a hard-earned Welsh-Scottish League victory at Swansea.
The Wales fly half was prominent as Cardiff opened up a 24-9 lead at the interval, with a try from centre Gareth Thomas highlighting Cardiff's dominance early on.
However Cardiff then had to endure a concerted comeback from the All Whites after the break. After just 90 seconds of the second half when Wales lock Andy Moore scored a try that was converted by Arwel Thomas, who had supplied his side's three first-half penalties.
Although Jenkins slotted over a fourth penalty, it was all Swansea over the next 20 minutes during which time Thomas kicked three more penalties.
Cardiff managed to hold on despite just being two points ahead - and in injury time they scored a third try when Simon Hill nipped in for Paul Jenkins to convert.
It meant Cardiff took the points to move them into fourth place in the table.
