Play off referees confirmed
Cardiff
October 18, 1999

World Cup organisers have made a late change to refereeing appointments for Wednesday's play-offs due to the outcome of the group matches.
New Zealander Colin Hawke has been switched from Scotland's Murrayfield clash with Samoa to take charge of the Wales versus Australia quarter-final in Cardiff on Saturday.
Irishman David McHugh now takes charge of the Scotland-Samoa game, with Welshman Clayton Thomas in charge of England against Fiji and Australian Stuart Dickinson taking the whistle when Ireland meet Argentina in Lens.
The three remaining quarter-final appointments have also been made - Jim Fleming of Scotland controls South Africa against England or Fiji, English official Ed Morrison takes charge of New Zealand versus Scotland or Samoa, and experienced Welshman Derek Bevan has France versus Ireland or Argentina in Dublin.
