Hutchinson cited and Charvis' appeal fails
LONDON, Oct 11 (AFP)
October 11, 1999

Canadian flanker John Hutchinson has become the ninth player to be cited in World Cup 99. Hutchinson will appear before a disciplinary panel at Twickenham on Tuesday to answer a charge of punching during his side's defeat by Fiji in Bordeaux on Saturday.
In addition to this Wales flanker Colin Charvis who was cited along with Argentine prop Roberto Grau lost his appeal today against a 14 day suspension.
Two other players - Samoan prop Brendan Reidy and Spanish lock Jose Miguel Villau - were last week cleared of punching offences, while Ireland flanker Trevor Brennan and Australian number eight Toutai Kefu have been summoned to Twickenham on Tuesday after a dust-up in Sunday's Pool E clash at Lansdowne Road.
Joining Brennan and Kefu will be Wallabies centre Daniel Herbert, cited following a "high and dangerous" tackle on his Irish counterpart Kevin Maggs.
Bath player Maggs left the field dazed and took no further part in the match, although television pictures appeared to show nothing intentional on
Herbert's part.
Fijian Marika Vunibaka, sent off for butting in the final minute against Canada by English referee Ed Morrison, will also be dealt with.
World Cup organisers have additionally announced that Tongan full-back Siua Taumalolo, cited for high tackles during the team's Pool B defeat by New Zealand eight days ago, has lost his appeal against suspension and a 21-day ban still stands.
