Irish doubt over Brennan
Dublin
September 30, 1999

Irish flanker Trevor Brennan is still doubtful for their opening game against the USA in Dublin on Saturday.
The St. Mary's flanker is still very week and receiving injections to relieve the acute pain.
Brennan, whose system has an apparent dislike of seafood, sat out yesterday's very physical training session and spent most of the day in bed recovering from the effects of severe stomach cramps.
Brennan, however, appears to be the major worry. The blind side flanker is still suffering from gastroenteritis caused, ironically, by something he ate during a function organised by the Ireland team's official sponsors.
However, Ireland team manager Donal Lenihan is still confident that Brennan will recover in time for the game.
