December 19, 2013
Ex-Samoa captain Brian Lima has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his ex-wife in public.
Reports in the Samoa Observer say Lima was arrested on Friday with his case scheduled to be heard on January 13 next year. The same article says the police have "obtained his travel documents" and he has been told not to approach his former wife.
Fauono Talalelei, assistant commissioner for the Samoa police, said Lima has been charged "with causing actual bodily harm and being armed with a dangerous weapon".
