Stade Francais back Djibril Camara has been hit with a six-month ban by French anti-doping officials (AFLD).

Camara missed three mandatory drug tests and was notified of this at the beginning of April. Camara will be allowed to play again in December but it could have been worse for the Stade back as his original ban was for 12 months but the panel opted to suspend half of it.

Camara will now miss a large section of the new season with Stade opening their new campaign against Montpellier on the weekend of August 17-18.

French winger Yoann Huget was suspended for a similar offence last season but was hit with a four month ban which meant he missed the 2011 World Cup.
