Waratahs lock Pat O'Connor has been cleared of an alleged headbutt after facing a SANZAR hearing following the Super Rugby match against the Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday.

O'Connor was shown a red card during the Waratahs' 23-17 defeat to the South African side. But after hearing evidence from the officials, players and viewing video evidence judicial officer Jannie Lubbe decided that on the balance of probabilities O'Connor did not head butt an opponent.

Therefore no further action will be taken against O'Connor. However, his Waratahs team-mate Kane Douglas has been banned for two weeks after appearing before the judicial hearing.

Douglas pleaded guilty to a dangerous tackle on Bulls centre Wynand Olivier and will missnext weekend's clash with the Highlanders.
