  • Leinster have confirmed the signing of Lions prop Heinke van der Merwe on a two-year deal.

Van der Merwe, 25, won one Springbok cap as a replacement against Wales in 2007 and will move to Dublin following the birth of his child.

"We will have a baby and are leaving our home and our country for two years, so amidst all the nerves and tension, we are both very excited," he said. "This is an opportunity that has come up, that I certainly couldn't say no to it."

  • Sharks centre Waylon Murray has signed a two-year deal with the Golden Lions and will join his new side for this season's Currie Cup after securing an early release from his contract in Durban.

  • Bulls scrum-half Heini Adams has agreed a move to French Pro D2 side L'Union Bordeaux-Bègles.
