1981 Botha scored 20 points in the second Test, the fly-half kicking five penalties, a conversion and a drop goal. The All Blacks bounced back to win the deciding test, though, triumphing 25-22 in an epic encounter in Auckland. There was more disappointment to follow for the Springboks, too, as the anti-apartheid protests littered throughout their controversial tour of New Zealand indirectly led to them being banned from international competition.
1891 Fullback Will Mitchell's goal from a mark was the only score of a fiercely-contested encounter.
