Brett Sharman is an abrasive hooker who plays for the Northampton Saints.
Sharman was born in Westville, South Africa, and progressed through the ranks at the Blue Bulls before breaking into the first team. By the 2007 season he was a regular starter for the Blue Bulls and helped them win the Vodacom Cup.
In January 2009 he joined Northampton Saints where is the club's second-choice hooker behind club captain Dylan Hartley. Despite being born in South Africa, Sharman holds a British passport and has expressed a desire to play for England in the future.
