Former Cheetahs centre Van Zyl currently plays in France for recently relegated Bourgoin. And Van Zyl made his debut for the Namibian national side in August 2007 aganist South Africa. He continued his impressive form in the centre berth in the French World Cup where he scored his nation's first try in the competition against Ireland.
