2008-9 saw Trinder play regularly for Moseley in National League Division One, represent England U20s in the Six Nations and also make his first team breakthrough for Gloucester. He followed this up with a place in the England U20 squad for the Junior World Championship in Japan in June 2009.
He hoped to make a real impact in 2009-10 but was hampered by injury although his potential saw him rewarded with a new contract in Spring 2010. 2010-11 was a superb season for Trinder as he scored 13 tries in 23 appearances, represented England against the Barbarians and the Saxons in the Churchill Cup.
And Trinder kicked on during the 2011-12 campaign and in the first-half of the season established himself as a genuine contender for a place in the EPS squad.
