Alex Crockett is a compact and aggressive centre, who played his club rugby for Bath before terminating his contract in 2009.
Late in the season he was charged by the RFU with 'conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game' following a club night out. He, along with fellow players Justin Harrison, Michael Lipman and Andrew Higgins, refused to take drugs tests and were found guilty of misconduct by the RFU.
He, along with Lipman and Higgins, were subsequently handed nine-month bans which they failed to overturn on appeal. As a result he will be sidelined until February 28, 2010.
Crockett was Bath's co-captain throughout the 2008-09 season after being called in to the England Saxons squad to face Italy 'A' earlier in 2008. Crockett also represented England at U21 level.
