Northampton Saints centre Joe Ansbro will make his Scotland debut against South Africa at Murrayfield on Saturday after Max Evans failed to overcome a shoulder injury. The Glasgow-born 25-year-old slots in at outside-centre, having been promoted from the Scotland 'A' side to face the USA at Netherdale on Friday night. Evans was injured during last weekend's humbling 49-3 loss to New Zealand in Edinburgh and is expected to be fit to return against Samoa next weekend. "Joe is a talented footballer," head coach Andy Robinson said. "We have been monitoring his progress at Northampton closely and he has been getting regular game time this season. "We took him with Scotland A to the IRB Nations Cup in Romania in 2009 and we believe he has the required qualities to perform in international rugby." © ESPN EMEA Ltd
