Australian-born Alexander Angus was Scotland's first post-war captain in 1920 and went on to referee several internationals as well as play cricket for Scotland.
He made his international bow in 1909 and went on to score two tries in his first 14 matches before the First World War when all international rugby ceased. His next four caps came in 1920, and he scored his final Test try against Ireland on February 28. just over nine years since his previous try.
