Deacon Manu out for four months
September 18, 2013
The Scarlets will be without prop Deacon Manu for four months after the prop suffered a broken arm.
Manu suffered the injury against Treviso at the weekend and he will undergo the surgeon's knife on Wednesday. And Scarlets boss Simon Easterby is contemplating drafting in a short-term replacement.
"Cover for Deacon is something that we will have to look at," Easterby told Wales Online. "The Heineken squad went in on Wednesday so it's disappointing to lose someone of Deacon's experience.
"We'll have to look at how we manage that situation. Losing Deacon is a bit of a blow to the group. Hopefully we've got enough coming through, but we will probably also look at bringing someone in."
