Argentinean forward Tomas Vallejos has joined the Scarlets from Harlequins.

The 27-year-old, who has won one cap for the Pumas during last year's Rugby World Cup, leaves Quins after two years at the Aviva Premiership club. Vallejos previously played for Parma in Italy and will boost the Scarlets' second-row options following the departures of Lou Reed, Dominic Day and Damian Welch.

Vallejos wrote on Twitter: "After long time of negotiation I'm massively happy to be joining Llanelli Scarlets. I'm really looking forward to it."
