Newcastle Falcons prop Kieran Brookes has been suspended for six weeks for pushing referee Greg Garner during Sunday's Aviva Premiership match against Leicester.

Brookes pleaded guilty before a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel in Leeds on Tuesday night having been charged with the 'physical abuse of a match official'. He had been cited for 'pushing or otherwise making contact with Garner'.
